Inhale: LET GO
Exhale: LET GOD
Pure, divine love culminates in total self-surrender.
This weekend, I spent some beautiful time with friends who have children, or who are nervous about starting new jobs, or who are just simply curious as to how to incorporate meditation into their busy lives. They as, “When am I going to find time to sit for meditation?” and add, “I am the worst at it, I can’t stop my thoughts.”
Monks who have been practicing decades still struggle with stopping their thoughts. We cant stop them altogether (although that is the goal) we can choose not to react to them and observe them.
Lets get back to basics. We breathe 18,000 to 30,000 times a day. So following our mantra with our breath all day long; as we are busy being fabulous moms, wives, girlfriends, daughters, entrepreneurs, and most importantly, goddesses; gives us so many opportunities to connect and love ourselves.
First we need to let go. Remember we are not the drivers of the boat! So, every time something, someone comes in our path today and ruffles our wings…let go.
The best part about meditation is that we can do it anywhere. Whether in the serenity of our homes, on the train, bus, cab, yoga mat, in the shower, and in the rain! However, while operating heavy machinery, meditation is strongly ill-advised. It’s said we breathe 20,000 times a day — SO many opportunities to send out love, peace, and inspiration.
Just close your eyes and focus on the space between your eye brows, your third-eye and the window to your imagination and INHALE Let Go, EXHALE Let God. Rinse, Breathe, Repeat (no matter where you may be).
Laughing is Contagious, it Starts with You.
